When you land in Belize, BZE International airport, if you are going straight to the island on the same day, you will either take a small plane to San Pedro or you will need to take a short taxi ride to Belize City port to catch a water taxi https://belizewatertaxi.com/caye-caulker, or http://cayecaulkerwatertaxi.com, which takes 1.5 hours to get you to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. You can buy this ticket same day you arrive, about $30 each way. If you take the plane be sure to buy this flight 2 weeks prior to arriving in Belize, 30 minute flight, about $60 each way, http://www.mayaislandair.com.

When you go back home be sure your flight leaving the country is in the afternoon. You’ll need the morning to eat, then water taxi or plane back to the mainland to catch your international flight home. If your flight leaves at 12pm, then you’ll need to leave the island 7am (via boat/plane) to check in before 10am at BZE airport as required to catch your 12pm international flight. Dig it?
